The Spirit of Zerubbabel

The name Zerubbabel is a combination of 2 words: (1)zarab – to flow away and (2)Babel – confusion. I believe in this coming awakening the Lord is restoring us to the language of the garden of Eden. The same language that was confused during the building of the tower of Babel is being restored. We will clearly see and hear God and through our prayers and declarations we will walk in the fullness of Isaiah 11:2 – the governmental authority of God. Instead of confusion, we will have the Spirit of Revelation – revealing the reality of Christ in us the hope of Glory. Years ago in a very powerful dream He said that I am having Zerubbabel’s baby. In studying Zechariah 4, Haggai and listening to what the Lord has to say about Zerubbabel, our understanding of the mandate for the Dallas House of Prayer began to emerge. Later, in a dream I heard the audible voice of the Lord say, “you are the House of Zerubbabel – Governmental Authority”. He is showing us the fruits of the partnership that we will have as being ONE in intimacy with Him and out of this the Dallas House of Prayer will steward the realm of His government and influence media and the government of man.

In Zechariah 4, the angel tells Zechariah to waken from his slumber. His slumber was his lack of spiritual eyes and ears. In Haggai 1:14, God “stirs up” the Spirit of Zerubbabel. To stir up means to "to awaken, to stir up, to excite, to raise up, to arouse to action, to open one's eyes". They are awakened from their self serving ambitions and see the calling of God for their lives and their generation. Note that the Apostle Paul never prayed for revival but prayed in Eph. 1:17-19 that our eyes would be opened to see the hope of His calling.

The Lord is shaking all that can be shaken (Haggai 2:6-7) and perfecting His beautiful church. There is a forerunner army emerging that have their eyes locked on their Bridegroom King (dove eyes) with their purposed destiny in Him. Their one desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of their lives and ascend the hill of the Lord, partnering with Christ in His victories and even sufferings.

While Jesus accomplished all things on the cross, we are in the days of increase. In the place of prayer, we are transformed by His presence. We pass through the veil and encounter Jesus as God, becoming one with Him. It is His glory that will fill the temple built by Zerubbabel in Haggai 2:9:

“The glory in the latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the Lord of hosts, and in this place I will give peace’”

There is the continued increase of His government (Is. 9:7) and His glory in Romans 8:18:

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God”

Peter had revelation from the Father about Christ’s identity because He saw and heard from heaven the reality of Christ. In this Awakening, the Spirit of Revelation is being loosed where we will have this same revelation but with the additional understanding of who we are in Him.

Matt 16:17-19, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”

The key of authority is prophesied in Zechariah 4. I struggled with Zech 4:10 for a long time and received the missing piece of the puzzle from Paul Keith Davis. I didn’t understand why would the seven spirits of God in Isaiah 11:2 rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel when the glory never dwelt in the 2nd temple? So what is the plumb line? We know that the plumb line is the truth of God but I submit to you that it has dual meaning. The Lord told Paul Keith Davis that the plumb line is like the Rosetta Stone.

…“For these seven rejoice to see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel”.

Paul Keith Davis said that the Lord told him the plumb line (plummet stone) was like the Rosetta Stone. The Rosetta Stone was the key to unlocking the language of hieroglyphics because of the 3 languages on the stone. I believe the plumb line is the truth of the foundation of Christ and that truth is the key to unlocking our communication with heaven. The plumb line brings the church into right relationship with Christ in order to carry the authority and weight of this awakening. We believe that the plumb line is being released into His church in our day and this language from heaven is the key that will open and shut according to God’s perfect will.

Collectively as a group, we have seen 22:22 or 2:22 thousands of times beginning in 2002(of course!). The Lord has been speaking to us about the key to the house of David which we know is a governmental key…

Isaiah 22:22, “The key to the house of David, I will lay on his shoulder; so he shall open, and no one shall shut; And he shall shut, and no one shall open.

When this key is placed on the shoulders of this emerging warrior Bride, we will open and shut because heaven is awakened in our language, we will bind and loose (Matt 16:19) because the governmental authority has been released and placed on the shoulder of this end time army of God. Jesus walked in this governmental authority of the seven Spirits. He said in John 12:49, “For I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who has sent me has himself given me a commandment – what to say and what to speak.” This governmental authority is given to a people awakened to the voice of our Father walking in the fullness of God with the seven Spirits of God that Jesus walked in - Christ in us the hope of Glory. We are in the days of increase when we will do the greater works because of the clarity of His voice. The seven Spirits of God are listed in Isaiah 11:2:

Is 11:2: “ The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord”

The 2nd temple that Zerubbabel built was a type and shadow of the end time temple…the Sons of Man walking in the increased glory and government of God. In this great awakening, a sound will be released and given to these Sons of Man.

Zech 4:6-7: “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit. “Who are you O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall bring forth the capstone ‘With shouts of Grace, Grace to it!’”.

We see and hear so what is loosed is the sound of heaven creating a tangible change in the atmosphere. This will come in the form of worship, prayer, agreement and intercession. This sound will level mountains of disease, death, and bondage brought forth by this capstone generation. Our model prayer comes through the Ester model of intimacy with the King where through her devoted love and desire for him, she was given the governmental authority to destroy the enemy and save her people.

It is only through unity in prayer with the heart of God that will enable us to go to the mountain of God and speak to the gates. The Lord showed us that we are giving birth to Zerubbabel’s baby… we believe this is through a lifestyle of fasting, prayer, worship and intercession in the form of a House of Prayer. While I don’t think there is a formula of how to do this…I believe we are called to step out in obedience with the revelation that we have been given and let God do the rest. I don’t think that we can make this happen through our efforts. “Not by might nor power, but by His Spirit”….We are coming into agreement with what God is going to make manifest in Dallas and the nation.
