Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE the Bible is the true and finished inspired word of God. It is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live. (1Tim 3:16, 2Peter 1:20,21)
WE BELIEVE salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No activity on the part of man is required or accepted in order to be saved. The saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing God's sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ. True faith is of the heart and not just the mind (Rom. 10:10). God's purpose in requiring faith for salvation is to raise our focus and concentration above the temporal to the One who is eternal. Therefore, the gospel that is able to save souls must be preached in the power of the Spirit of God. The gospel is not dependent upon human eloquence or persuasion that may change minds but cannot change hearts. Only the Spirit of God can reveal the Son of God, and only the Son of God can reveal the Father.
WE BELEIVE the Lord Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells, and equips His people for godly living and service.
WE BELIEVE signs, wonders and the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament, are operating today and are designed to testify to the presence of the Kingdom and to empower and edify the Church to fulfill its calling and mission.
WE BELIEVE the Church is God's primary instrument through which He is fulfilling His redemptive purposes in the earth. God has given us apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers.
WE BELIEVE that women, no less than men, are called and gifted to proclaim the Gospel and do all the works of the Kingdom.
WE BELIEVE that God has called the Church to preach the Gospel to all nations, and to especially remember and minister to the needs of the poor, widows and orphans through sacrificial giving and practical service.
WE BELIEVE in the literal Second Coming of Christ at the end of the age when He will return to Earth personally and visibly to consummate His Kingdom. We are praying for a great end-time harvest of souls and the emergence of a victorious Church that will experience unprecedented unity, purity, and power in the Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE in the literal, physical resurrection of both the just and the unjust for the Day of Judgment. For those of us who have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on our behalf, this resurrection is for eternal life in fellowship with God. Those who are not justified by faith in Jesus are resurrected for an eternal judgment.
